The day's highlights include 18 holes with tournament prizes for low net or Callaway, lunch, a barbecue, buffet dinner and hole-in-one opportunities to win a 2009 Dodge Caliber and a 232 Cobalt Bowrider.
The day's main event will be an awards ceremony to celebrate the 2009 honoree, Walter J. Krupski Jr.
Mr. Krupski has been a Rotarian for nearly 30 years and serves as the perennial co-chair of the Southold and Greenport Rotary Golf Classic. He has also worked with the Mattituck Lions Club on its annual Strawberry Festival and has served on the East End Arts Council and as past chairman of the American Heart Association's East End Heart Ball.
“Walter raises the bar each year for golf classic participants,” Paul Connor, president and CEO of Eastern Long Island Hospital, said in a press release. “His efforts have helped ELIH surpass previous fundraising goals, always focusing on patient care services.”
