Reason for running: "I can use my experience as a businessman and firefighter, and, hopefully, we can keep the budget where it is and try to save the taxpayers some money."

Reason for running: "I believe that our community deserves the best fire protection and medical services we can provide, and my experience has given me the knowledge needed to make the necessary decisions to give Rocky Point and Shoreham such a department."

Prior to that, Mr. Quaranta served 35 years as an EMT for the Brentwood Fire Department's ambulance company and is also a past chief and president there as well. Mr. Quaranta is also certified as a National Fire Safety officer.
Reason for running: "I really do think that we have pretty good candidates running, but I feel that I'm the most experienced out of any of them in business and in the fire department. I think that I would really be a benefit to the [Board of Fire Commissioners]."
