Her lack of optimism was actually about the prospect that lenders will loosen up the purse strings to enable more people to buy real estate.

* Nancy Woodhull, a passenger in one of the cars involved in a recent fatal accident in Cutchogue, was misidentified in last week's police report. Ms. Woodhull is the daughter-in-law of Jean Woodhull, who died of her injuries on Feb. 28.
