Elsie C. Pomierski




Elsie C. Pomierski, a 50-year resident of Aquebogue, died July 19 at her home. She was 85 years old.

She was born in Hempstead on Dec. 22, 1923, to Lucy and Adam Domonski and was a graduate of Hempstead High School.

Ms. Pomierski worked at Swezey's Department store in Riverhead for 20 years. She was a member of St. Isidore Altar Rosary Society, served as a pink lady at Peconic Bay Medical Center and was active in the Riverhead senior center.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1990, and her son, also Joseph, in 2003, she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Pomierski-Dean of Aquebogue, and two grandchildren.

Memorial services were held July 21 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead, Interment was July 22 at St. Isidore's Cemetery.
