Terese R. Davis

Terese R. Davis
Lifelong Riverhead resident Terese R. Davis died of lung disease July 18 at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in Manhasset. She was 39.

She was born March 3, 1969, to Reginald and Bertha (Brackett) Davis in Riverhead. After graduating from Riverhead High School in 1987, Ms. Davis worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Holtsville.

In her free time, family said, she enjoyed cooking, using the computer and spending time with her children, family said.

Ms. Davis' survivors, all of Riverhead, include her parents; her partner, Joseph Ortiz; her children, Jerald and Bianca Davis and Bryce Ortiz; and her siblings Reginald Jr., Dorice Brown, Jeffrey and Perry.

Family received visitors July 22 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service was held July 23 at Galilee Church of God in Christ, Riverhead. Interment followed at Riverhead Cemetery.
